I have to admit that as soon as my 48 hour span was completed, I instantly fell asleep in my bed. ::Yawn::
In the last few hours, I read an additional four books, all graphic novels. It was Merupuri volumes 1-4 by Matsuri Hino. I found them very much entertaining and just what I needed for the darkest hours of the night (into dawn).
I also took a little cat nap of 20 minutes during this time. Just couldn't quite make it all the way!
So, my totals (page count to come):
Hours spent reading/blogging: 47 hours, 40 minutes
Books read: 20
Thanks again, Motherreader, for hosting this fun event! I know I'm a little late in posting this, but hopefully it will still count. Now, to work!

There are 7 and a half hours left
I am determined to carry out the rest of my time!!!!!! I have three energy drinks, a ton of books I may still indulge and I just need to pick what I want to read, oh joy. This year has been better than the last, I can say this with some boldness. The books have been better, we added another person reading with us and its been more fun. We have done a few things a little differently, but that does not mean that its bad.
After starting two other books and dropping them I read Poison Study by Maria Snyder. Its about a girl in a medieval type society that is advanced at the same time. She is condemned to death, but gets a second chance by becoming a food taster which is a risk in and of itself. Her journey brings her to learning more than she had before and bringing her some hope for her future. I loved the herione, she was cool, confidant and would not give up. Too often in literature I fail to see that occur, the shaping of a character that is not vapid and selfish.
Next I read Just One Wish by Janette Rallison, this was a very easy read in that it was a simple story about a girl who will go to great lengths to make a wish come true for her brother. While her actions are questionable and disruptive, her main goal is to do this for her terminally sibling. She gets a hot boyfriend out of the catastrophe, so not realistic.
Then I read Kiss the Girls by James Patterson, I had never read one of his novels before so it was nice to see what all the fuss is about. I mean good grief he has numerous novels and the book stores are riddled with them. All in all it was a good thriller, much like the movie. Just going to show you one more time that human beings can be sick.

29 hours
I don't feel like I read that much between my last blog and this one. I've been starting books and not finishing them, jumping in between books.
Here are the three I have read so far
Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsey, more of dexters antics, enough said.
Snow by Tract Lynn, retelling of snow white, found the ending to be unfulfilling.
MeriPuri 1 by Matsuri Hino
Books: 13
Pages: 2819
I think I am awake now!!!!!!!

20 hours and losing thine mind
The first night is the easiest.......the second night is the worst, which is why I have waited to use all my energy drinks until that time. Since my last blog I have four books under my belt, its not very impressive, but it is what it is. I must say I have had better luck with the books this time around.
I ready A Bird in Hand by Allison Lane, it was a romantic regency book. Purely hog washery, an easy read for a person whose mind is liable to crack under intense pressure. There was nothing terribly refined about it, just a bunch of nobles making fools of themselves while finding mates for life. I laughed my way through half of it.
The next was Black Butler 4, just a continuation of a graphic novel series that I am sold on. I love the series and I can't wait to read the next one. Its really funny while playing on the darker side of storytelling.
Then I read The False Princess, I have to throw in a bunch of fantasy when I read and this is no exception. Its about a girl who was the princess and then was found out to be a decoy and was replaced. To make a long story short she finds out who she must become for the sake of herself and the kingdom. I really liked the book, found the characters easy to adhere in such a way to make it pleasant.
For the fourth I read Swept off her feet by Hester Browne and I was duly impressed. I did not think the novel would amount to much, but I did enjoy the book as a whole set in modern times. The main character was a little in clouds for most of the book, but that is why I liked her.

Nine hours so far
With nine hours under my belt I went through three books. I am so hungry, eating healthy while trying to do this challenge makes one sleepy, hungry and constantly snacking.....hahahahaha, but we live on......
So the first book I read was The priest's graveyard by Ted Dekker. Woah, talk about your emotionally crazy thriller. Most of the book I didn't know who to root for, so I just read it with the detachment one gets where there is no clear hero, but it was enjoyable and breathtaking to the last.
Next I read a charming book Close to Famous by Joan Bauer, now that was good. It was a young adult book with interesting characters, good storyline and I really like the main character, she was a hoot. Couldnt put it down, not even for lunchtime.
Last for now I read darkly dreaming dexter, the first book in the dexter series. I had seen the show before and I wanted to read something that I knew I could pinpoint my interesting. It deviated from the show in a manner that intrigued me. Very enjoyable.
In later posts I will have more to say!!!!
